The touchpad works fine, just not the scroll function right side gesture to scroll down or up a window Other than that W10 is working very well. I have the same question 8. Dell Inspiron touchpad scrolling question. – Microsoft Community
Not sure why the driver update didn’t fix it. Ubuntu is no surprise, your laptop will run flawlessly with Windows Vista and Windows 7 too.
Does your touchpad support the newer ‘two finger scroll’ gesture, with the latest driver?
I am aware that it isn’t supported. The touchpad works fine, just not the scroll function right side gesture to scroll down or up a window Other than that W10 is working very well.

Given the warning posted on Dell’s support pages for your product: It seems strange that Ubuntu worked flawlessly and W10 does not. Since your laptop was designed long before scro,l were even a consideration for a function or feature of your touchpad, I would imagine that any updated driver would replace the old scroll function with the newer ‘two finger scroll’ gesture.
Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers attempt to trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support inspiroj. Product not tested for Windows 10 upgrade Dell is not testing or developing Windows 10 drivers for this product. I like W10 enough to muddle through.
